Hey Y'all, So I pickup up a new toy while We were at the coast this weekend, it's an 80's Peavey Heritage VTX hybrid amp, 30 or 130 watts, Tube Pwr(FOUR 6L6's) SS Pre with a pair of Scorps ran at 4 Ohms and a switching power transformer that allows an additional 4 Ohm load to be ran at full output(130 watts at 2 Ohms),

So here's My question, have many tried/used these for PSG?...I've found that on the subject of lead this thing will eat a twin for lunch, but I digress Smile how Many of Y'all have or still use these and do You have any advice on pre EQ settings Etc?,

I'd sincerely appreciate any info that You can share.
Thanks.

Joshua S Gibson.

Hello Joshua,
I've never tried the Heritage VTX for steel guitar applications but I always like the VTX Series(Classic VTX, MX VTX) for guitar applications. It has sufficient power for steel. Let us all know your opinion after you have tried it out.

Thanks,

Hey Mike, I completely agree on the VTX for guitar it's got the potential for some REALLY cool tones (FWIW, this thing is what a phaser is SUPPOSED to sound like),
also, I was hoping You might chime in on this Mike...I was wondering if You might know where I could find a replacement footswitch for the heritage? sadly this amp was missing that particular piece of the equation Confused,

Thanks,
Josh.

Since we do not stock our older footswitches any longer, we refer all of our customer's to switchdoctorswitches.com

Hope that this helps.
