i have several of your tabs and they all are in chord form, is there a reason why they are all this way?

The only reason I went to a pedal steel is the ability to play full, three string grips. My style of playing is called "chordal" melody. You can play single string and two string melody on just about any instrument but the pedals and levers on a pedal steel allow you to play full, three string grips. It is my style of playing. If you do not like that style of playing just eliminate the bottom string or the two bottom strings in the grip. The top string is always the melody note. I have a steeler in Illinois who has trouble with a picking finger so he is limited to two string grips and he gives me credit for his playing.
Keep steelin'! Very Happy

when you say top note do you mean strings 10,9.8 or 1,2,3
I didn't mean to imply that I don't like your tabs or way of playing
I was just commenting on the way you have it tabbed that seemed to be a bit different
your tabs are some of the best anywhere

Calvin,
When I say the top string I mean on my grips. When I show a three string grip, the top string in the grip is the melody note. For instance, if I show a 4th, 5th and 8th string grip, the 4th string is the melody note. The stings below that are just added to fill out the chord.
