Just to let all of my forum friends know, my Dad, Mr. Tommy Howington left this earth today at 5:20PM. He had been very sick for the last two years but now will rest peacefully forever in the house of the lord. Please keep my family in your prayers and thoughts as we go through the next few days of saying goodbye.

Sorry for the loss of your Dad, Allen. I lost mine in 2000 after watching him go downhill for several years. Hang on to the good memories.

To all of my friend respondents on the forum, thank you so much for your time to share a kind word. There truly are some great loving and caring "steel pickers" out there in this old world of ours. Thanks again, not only from me, but my brother Johnny, my sister Alicia, and the remainder of our family.

Our Dad will be greatly missed, not only as a father and friend to us, but as a great earthly minister of music for our Lord. Dad was the instigator in all four of his children loving and playing music. To us there will never be no better musician, father, and friend than our Dad--Tommy Howington! Good bye Dad, we'll always Love you, and we will surely see you again one day in heaven. There we shall all share eternity together, and our music shall then continue on, for eternity as well!

Your son,

Allen

Allen & Johnny, Keep your memories alive. I lost my dad more than 25 years ago and I still have times when I can recall the good times. I always enjoyed the times your dad would play with both of you - good memories. You and your families are in my prayers.
