I had a chance to try one today. It has two levels of EQ, T and B knobs, and then when turned off, 3 Frequency related knobs. They did not work together very well and the 3 lower Freq... knobs did not react very much from all the way on to all the way off. Had they been more responsive, I might have pulled the trigger. Next.

Thanks for the quick review, Larry. EHX touts "big differences" in both range and response of the Tube EQ, especially given the array of FREQUENCY, GAIN, and Q knobs. I like their Knockout Attack EQ, which I use for several things besides giving my humbucker pickup on the steel a more single coil attack and response. Dynamic compression, subtle to wide shifts through low, mid and treble filtering.

I would think that the Tube EQ would do all that , plus much more. Especially for the coin. Seems like many customers use it for noisy type of effects, like jump starting their other effects pedals or synthesizers.

Daniel I was expecting a lot more variance in the controls, it was almost not existent. Might have been the unit but...

I also found that if the Bass was turned back and the Treble was turned up, (10:00 and 2:00) there was not much difference between the off and on positions. I also thought that a little strange.

Onward and upward.
