This guitar is sold! Thanks!

Hey All,

I am offering my Shobud for sale - $1599.00 plus shipping

I love this guitar but I can't help it - I am selling to get something newer and shinier.

It's a really nice 1973 6139 S10 3x4 Shobud with a half pad. I paid 1700 for it and easily put in an additional 300 bucks and a lot of TLC. I switched out all the barrels (16 total) with brand new Michael Yahl ones from psgparts. I added a beautifully made Don Blood custom armrest. And most importantly - fellow forumite and Shobud expert James Morehead generously walked me through a thorough refurb - I took the whole guitar apart piece by piece and gave it a thorough cleaning, polishing and rebalancing. I've probably spent close to 5 solid days working on cleaning and refurbishing this guitar. It is totally revitalized and plays super smooth now. And it's got that white Shobud fretboard - you gotta love it.

Below is a link to some hi res pics (click on the upper left hand corner of the pic to enlarge):

Below is the thread about the refurb:

The copedent on it is in the direct link below (half stops are "feel" stops):

It's easy to move barrels and rods around and change the copedent up. I also have an extra pull rod and new barrel that can be added to include an additional pull/change. The finish looks beautiful but shows it's age here and there - a little pitting and a few dings but nothing crazy (check out the high res pics in the link above). It comes with the original case - typical wear but in pretty decent shape and completely functional. Included with this guitar will be a brand new changer-side pull rod tuning wrench made by Michael Yahl at PSG parts and a D2F cloth leg bag. Guitar has original pickup and it sounds great (only small thing - the coil tap switch was replaced and rewired incorrectly - only turns on and off - but probably can be fixed easily enough - I never changed it because I loved the sound).

This is a great guitar - feel free to email or pm me.

Continental US only please.
Payment via PAYPAL (send the $ as a "gift" or pay the 2.9% fee - either one)
The weight in the case is about 50 pounds
I already have a box for it all ready to go - the dimensions are about 1.5'x4'x1'.

Thanks for looking!
-Ian
