There is an Emmons Dr. here in Lawrence NJ.
I was going to steal the street sign but I don't want to go to jail. Laughing

I don't know these people, but there is a company in Jackson, Mi with the same name.

I always wondered about them, notice it's almost the same lettering as on the Emmons guitars. Here's the web page:

I have a grandson in Mississippi that my son, Casey, named him Emmons (first name) after Buddy.
I think he is either 5 or 6 years old now.
Funny that I can't remember his middle name though.

@Greg, there was an Emmons school there when I was a kid. I always wondered whom it was named after.

That Emmons name is few and far between. It kind of coincides with his talent! Kinda what I figured. Smile

One band I work with has a sound/production guy named Dan Emmons. Also, the first time I went looking for Jerry Fessenden's house I got lost and had to turn around on Emmons street in Montpelier, VT.

Another greatly overlooked way to reduce weight - dropping letters in the decal...

The truck drivers name might be Budy, just guessing.

Post  Posted 2 Jul 2013 4:38 pm     What's in a name. Plenty when it's Buddy
Reply with quote

In 1982 and 1984 we featured Buddy at two of the steel shows we produced in suburban Philadelphia. After bringing him from the airport to the hotel, of course the clerk didn't know him from Adam, but I stood next to him at the front desk as he clearly spelled-out his name for her. . . E M O N D S. That's when it hit me: he's not always sitting at his steel, but he's always entertaining. He did that to entertain an audience of one. I'm still grinning 30 years later as I type this.

They'll never be another like him.
