It was just getting interesting. Forum moderator, please explain.

To continue it...although it's hard to believe that an area like LA can't support one single country station...if country music lovers are like me and seldom listened to it the past few years because of the lame top 40 music (lots of it, but not all, mind you), it's not much of a loss.

I do think the biggest loss is the station's presence at the scant few local nightclubs, their promotion nights at the Cowboy Country and other venues really helped draw in crowds. I fear that night club attendance will now dwindle a bit more, leading total elimination of clubs in our area.

I will miss Sean Paar, but cheer Peter Tilden going back to talk or any other format.

Years ago they'd actually feature local bands late one night a week; were they still doing that at the end?

For all of its problems, I'm just sorry to see the slow demise of terrestrial radio. I'm sure XM is great, but I just hate the idea of having to pay to listen to a little radio on my 15 minute commute... I'm not even opposed to it philosophicaly -- it's just that when I'm done paying for phone, cellphone, internet connection, tivo, ipod, cable, you name it... there's just nothing left for radio...

It was moved, but also edited...some of the original posts had blatant racial overtones. It was sad.

Discussion about the forum belongs in FORUM FEEDBACK. So I'm moving this thread to the correct place.

I move the original thread to MUSIC because it does not belong in E&A.

I can't comment past that, as I don't know.

Please read the descriptions of the areas and post approprately.

E&A get quite unmanageable arounf ISGC time.
Please don't add to this problem.

Thanks,
Joey
