My steel guitar teacher told me when I was 6 that the gas pedal was the volume pedal - he would say "step on the gas - no one can hear you" he ould also say that no one will ever know if you hit a bad note but you ....... and maybe me and would smile

Well, when I have to move my leg all the way to my 9th pedal, it causes some unpleasant things to happen in my body. So I would say that my 9th pedal is my "gas" pedal.
