Advice for Newbie!

Hi folks, I am new to pedal steel playing, matter of fact so new that I don't even own one yet!
While I'm shopping for an S-10 I thought I might get some advice on where to start with instruction. Local lessons might be possible but also interested in books, DVD, etc.
If you had to pick one book or dvd to start off with as a beginner what would it be?

I bet a lot of people will recommend Winnie Winston's book and the Mel Bay Deluxe Pedal steel Method and for good reasons. Also Check out Mickey Adams youtubes http://www.youtube.com/user/Singlpilot Mickey also has an instruction book for sale that I would bet is pretty extensive. You can contact him here on the forum

If I could only have one? Yeah, then I guess probably the WW book, but don't get caught up on Streets of Laredo for too long - you're going to have to get past it and come back to it later to really get it. Even WW said that was his one regret.
