Just off the phone to learn that Bobby will be presenting his award to the Honolulu chapter of Shriner's Hospital in respects towards their helping him thru many years as a child fresh from Lanai in need of care for polio.
This CD was recorded in his Pearl Height's living room and he played almost all the instruments. It's no wonder Bobby plays with such soul, he's really paid his dues to sing the blues.

Very Happy Amen, Ron. Bobby told us his story a long time ago when he stayed at our house. He really deserved the award so we're so happy that he received it. Should have received it a long time ago.

Congrats Bobby!
You were my inspiration to try my hand at this great instrument.
We met at a vintage guitar show in LA about 4 years ago.
You made it look easy.
It's not!

I just wanted to congratulate you on winning this great award. That's quite an achievement. Best Wishes to you and hoping you'll use this special event to launch still another such venture.

This CD can be harder to find than most, so thanx to Derrick for a link.
The hospital is so happy with the news they've decided to made a real moment of the presentation, so hopefully that'll mean we'll hear Bobby play.

Mahalo Derrick!

I must be a waiting list, they'll email me when the CD's are in stock.

I still need to see your Friday night performance on Oahu. On my next visit. My wife and I stay in a little place on the North Shore, Mokule'ia.

Aloha!

I seem to remember a post recently on the Forum that Bobby is playing one of Rick Aiello's steel guitars. Best tone going IMHO. Ingano is a master player.

Anyone know what amp he uses?

I saw him live last year and he had just gotta a 7 string fry pan from a friend who only wanted 6 strings and he was busting his buttons as it was super inexpensive. I think that's that what he's playing these days, but yes I've seen him playing a Rick Aiello dustpan too (and who wouldn't?)

First time that I have ever seen Bobby Ingano wearing a coat and I have known him well over 30 years. It looked nice. I have seen him wear dress pants on rare occasions but never a coat. Usually it is levis and an aloha shirt.

There are some good pictures on Flickr.com. Are all of those your pictures, Ron?

Very Happy Whoa!
Don, I've known you for close to or more than 30 years and I've never seen you in a dress coat. Usually white pants and an Aloha shirt. Since you are now Chairman of the Aloha International Steel Guitar Club,--I would like to see you at the convention in Winchester in about a month,--wearing a dress/sport coat See you then.
Cool Wally

This is great news! I have much aloha and gratitude for the man who taught me how to play this wonderful instrument and who inspired me to seek out the older music. Thank you and congratulations, Bobby!

No, Don, I was out of the loop on that one, but I'll look for the other pics. I didn't know Bobby even owned an evening coat!
