Emmons split tuners for lower stops

Does anyone use the split tuner screws only for lower stops on strings where split tunes are not used? For example, E to Eb on the E9 neck, G to F# on the C6 neck, etc.

Yes, I have done it before on Legrands and seems to work fine.
