PRICE DROP TO MAKE THIS A LITTLE MORE APPEALING. I got this set from the original owner, who was given it by her parents around 1942 (same year this model guitar came out, I think). She put it away many decades ago and this came available when she was finally moving out of the house she'd lived in since then. The steel is an Eileen model, one of their earliest with MOTS covering. Amp, however, has a wood cabinet with attractive veneer, and the cabinet is in very nice shape. When I got it, buttons on the steel were completely crumbled away so new ones are now on the original tuner plates. Pickup works, sounds good, and the cord is hardwired to the guitar. The amp works but doesn't have a lot of output, I think these were only 2 or 3 watts originally. Could be serviced as I'm sure the caps have dried up and the tubes are ancient but since it may just wind up sitting on display (that's what I was doing with it, but somehow my wife has different decorating ideas, go figure) I didn't bother. Original field coil speaker, handle, and wavy-lined grille cloth. Condition on both pieces is really good, and the original Geib guitar case is worn but still functional. Not sure what would be fair, as I haven't seen a similar set available anyplace, so I WAS asking $950 for the set, NOW $850 (probably shipping in two boxes, by Fedex) and I will include CONUS shipping at that price. Best to email me, jkally3@cox.net as I am not always on the forum. Thanks for looking.
