Serial #5258, gray case. Wax pencil marks on back of pick-guard match serial number. Some checking to the finish. Tuned it to open "d" and played it through a super reverb. Amazing voice. Can anyone verify dating?

Looks like a 1957 SW-6, I think the earlier SW-6 & 8 had Rickenbacker on the headstock cover as well as the side. I'm sure there's a lot of smarter guys than me on here who could say when The spelling changed from Richenbacher to Rickenbacker and other good stuff.
