Installed a used Tonealigner pickup today and have a problem; when the pickup is tapped the signal is audible through the amp but no response is heard when the strings are struck, suggestions? |

can you test it with an ohm meter?
maybe you wired it wrong - does the pickup go straight to the 1/4" jack on your steel? _________________ Milkmansound.com |

Tim...Was wired correctly and directly to the jack. After removing the pickup I believe I may have discovered the problem. The ground wire appears to have pulled loose from the pickup housing. The wire and the solder that secured it came loose in one piece. Will contact the builder and make arrangements to have it repaired. Thank you for the reply. |
