Is there any way to take sheet music and relate to tab for pedal steel? |

John, if you know how to read music, i.e. Every Good Boy Does Fine (the lines on a treble staff) you can take those notes and tie them to your steel by finding those notes on the neck. If the song is in the key if G, look for the notes in the area of the 3rd fret. Remember to employ pedals to move you among the various notes to reduce some of the bar movement. This can be a little laborious, but I find it a useful way to play the melody, especially if you want to play a passage that sounds like the vocal lines. Hope this helps. _________________ Mullen G2; Fender Tone Master Twin Reverb; Goodrich L-120 |
