8&8 and I can't describe how incredible the finish is. Got it home this weekend and letting it adjust to being back in Texas. Purchased it from Billy Tam. I drove over to Baton Rouge to pick it up and had a wonderful visit with Billy and his wife. Great conversation and shared some good laughs. Billy thank you for the opportunity to own this one. We'll see y'all again during football season. Thanks again for your time and friendship. Hope you enjoy your new Mullen. Very Happy

So, you're the lucky guy who got that beauty.

Daymon, I hope to have the Mullen in a few days and only time will tell if I jumped the gun. I'm really glad you are getting back to playing and having a guitar you are really proud of will help you get back in shape in no time. We too enjoyed your visit and I hope Ducote's camp is a big success.
Richard, this is the most beautiful steel I've ever owned but the blue Professional you bought from me was a real close second.
Enjoy Daymon,
Billy

That's definitely a one-of-a-kind Super Pro.

Thank Guys.
Darvin it's my understanding that YOU are the one behind the beauty of this guitar. I'd love to know when and where and how about it. And very curious to know what color it was prior to you refinishing it in blue.

Billy, unfortunately, I ran into hard times and had to sell that blue Professional. Broke my heart to have to sell it. If I had the money, this Super Pro may have been sitting in my living room today.

Daymon, I appreciate your enthusiasm about your super-pro.

Because I couldn't afford two guitars, I let my Super-Pro get away when I bought a newer and more dependable guitar when I was playing a music show and didn't have time for the required maintenance of the Show-Bud after every show.

Now that my financial situation is much better and I can afford to buy it back, I have no idea about where it is today.

why would any steel require maintenance after every show?

At the height of my collection I had 14 pedal steels, including this one. There wasn't a nickels worth of difference in the mechanics of any of them but the Emmons P/P's, and this one didn't require any more maintenance than any of the others. I'm a little confused too Chris.

Chris and Darvin, you raise some great questions about my experience with my super-pro, even though they were somewhat condescending.

In summary, the guitar was worn out and needed restoration that required time without it that I didn't have as I was working a regular show.

I understand your objections to my problem. I pray that you don't have a similar problem and that your experience in this era will see you through to a solution.

Yet another Sho-Bud picture I keep coming back to. Were the Super Pro pickups designed much different, than say a Pro Series or the LDG? Really amazing looking steel Daymon.

Gene, I apologize if my reply was a little too pointed. I was just surprised that your Sho Bud needed maintenance after each show.
