She is Shelby's sister. I haven't looked at those links yet, but there are some YouTube videos of them singing together. Just awesome. Shelby and Alison are 2 of my favorite singers.
EDIT: She is married to Steve Earle _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting.

Yes, Shelby's younger sister. I guess good pipes run in the family.
Allison's been around for a while. Had a hit with A Soft Place to Fall from the movie The Horse Whisperer some years back. You might want to look that one up on the tube. Nice tune.
I had occasion to learn it for a project some friends of mine did. One of the songs was a cover of that tune. It's a good 'un.

Well, just watched the video for "Pardon Me". Every hair on my body is standing straight up. "A Soft Place To Fall" is a great song.
I really didn't have any plans for tonight. It may just be an Allison Moorer, Shelby Lynne kind of night.

Another live video of "A Soft Place To Fall" with Mike Daly on steel guitar.

On one of those links, I noticed they have the full movie "The Horse Whisperer". I never saw the movie. Just might have to watch it sometime. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Absolutely my favorite female singer of all time. Allison has turned out some great music. Producers, IMHO, are sure missing the boat by not making her a super star |

Amen Chris. I got to see Shelby last year doing her solo act in Livermore. Just freaking incredible. She did an acapella version of one of the Dusty Springfield songs off the tribute album she did. Literally had tears coming from my eyes. I was a little disappointed that she didn't do any of her old "country" stuff, but it was still awesome. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I also remember a song Allison had out called "Send Down An Angel". In the video, the steel player looked like Mike Daily, who plays steel with George Strait-he was playin' a Zumsteel in the video. The Opry episode with Allison and Mike Daly came on the year I graduated from high school...the episode was hosted by Jim Ed Brown-while he performed, Darrell Hornberger was playin' steel with Jim-he played a Marrs, McBride & The Ride were reuniting on the show, and Allison came on and sang an incredible steel-filled version of "Send Down An Angel |

Wrong Mike Daly, Brett. This is not the one that plays for George Strait (Mike Daily).

here's the "Send Down An Angel" video I saw in 2000;
www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KNsOTmv8Vc I saw Mike Daly live with Allison and he was playing an Emmons. There's a Zumsteel in this video-this is the one I saw in 2000 |

In that video, the steel player doesn't look like Mike Daily to me. And the PSG looks like an old Sho~Bud, either a fingertip or a permanent. Look at the handle on the end plate.
I could be wrong, but I have never seen a Zum look like that. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . Playing for 55 years and still counting. |

I looked and it could be a Sho-Bud. Maybe I didn't look too close when I saw the video. |

I just learned to play "Send Down An Angel" and I remember the solo and ending Mike Daly played on the Opry with Allison in 2001. It's one of the prettiest steel solos and endings I think I've heard in her songs. |

Mike is a great player for sure. Would have loved to see them live.
