I have had six Wright Customs with the painted logo and currently have two plus a single integrated cast neck/tailpiece/keyhead and pickup that may get made into a lap steel or a single pedal steel because it has a changer and a i have two spare Wright cast pedal racks with lots of pedals.
We see a lot of Wrights on the West Coast.

They must all be down in the LA area. In 42 years, I have never seen one up here in Northern California. Would love to see one in "person". You would think there would be some up here, seeing as how Chuck had a factory here in Fremont at one time. Of course, there may be several up here, but nobody takes them out to gig with.

They are in northern California. Where are you looking?

Offer a finders fee and they will appear.

Ask just to see one and they will not

Heck-- they are on eBay. That quad with the endplates they is being restored and has a thread on the Forum used to be mine. I got it for around $500 on eBay. The cast neck/pickup/tailpiece and keyhead I got on eBay as well. It was removed from a quad at some time and made into a single console. I bought it to replace the one wood neck on my quad but the single is 25 inch scale and the quad is 24 or 24+.

Wrights are relatively easy to find if you want to find them and are a buyer.

My father passed this down to me.
He told me that these PSGs were built to last and that I should keep it and pass it on.
I think without a doubt the best constructed PSG ever.

And here is mine.
I was just at the right time at the right place to get it.
After some fiddling and setting it up for the first time in its life, it plays excellent.

I have a link to a more descriptive post:

David,
Thanks for the info. This gives me some great History to think about...Bummer on the Plane Crashed WRIGHT Steel.
It too bad that your Dad didn't keep a photo log of all of the Steels he built. I would Imagine that It would have been quite diverse and most impressive. Smile
I will be posting more updates very soon..Stay tuned.

David Wright,

I am trying to get the complete history of my axe.
Do you remember a black Sierra S10 that was sent to South Africa, around 1992?

It must have been a rare occasion, because there were very few psg's in South Africa at the time.
Even now it is a scarce contraption. I can count them on my two hands.

Please let me know.

Jan
