I just received this...would you run it thru the PRE or POST EQ patch on a NV112? Thanks, Larry _________________ Excel steels & Peavey amps,Old Chevys & Motorcycles & Women on the Trashy Side |

I believe it's meant to be plugged straight into the guitar... normally loops aren't that great for drive/distortion effects. Perhaps Brad will chime in. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

Hi Larry.....When I use the Earth Drive I go from guitar to Earth Drive to volume pedal. These type of pedals like to see the signal direct from the pickup and when you use the Vp the level of grit is even through the sweep. Now a six string electric is different as you could back off on the volume control for a slight clean grit and then full on for lead. Try everything though as you may come up with something different that works for you. |

What Len said... Earth Drive before the volume pedal..
Then you can have distortion with volume control instead of back off the volume and lose some of the distortion. _________________ MSA 12 String E9th/B6th Universal.

Most people go that way, dirt before volume pedal. Some people like the dirt after the volume pedal so that the more you lay into the volume pedal, the more dirt you get, as if you're driving a tube amp. But it seems to me that more than 9 out of 10 put the dirt before the VP...

Regarding the real estate issue, I run a 10' cable (after the Izzy) around the front of the guitar to stomp boxen on the lid of the sidekick of my packaseat (usually closed). I hit the stomp switch with the bar hand. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

i've been trying it both ways. i kind of like it after the volume pedal as well, you have to turn the drive up a lot more to get it to distort at low volumes, but that way the more dirt the more you dig in to the volume pedal... _________________ Emmons, Franklin, Mullen |

Brad told me that the ED likes to be driven... I told him I have a FD2 Fulltone and he suggested I try driving it into the ED.... I haven't played with that yet but it sure lights up with a powerful pickup. Of course, you need two of them, one before
and one after the VP... I'm sure Brad would agree! _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

What's right for me is one thing but like I always say, "Whatever works for you". Also, when the delay and reverb are hooked up as Lane mentioned before the VP you can control the tail of the delay & reverb ending a song. But try everything and let us know what YOU like best?
