One o'clock in the morning here at home. I have been listening to Jim's cd again as I have done many times. If you like jazz steel guitar, Jim can do it. All of the cut's are great. People in this world just don't know how good the steel guitar is no matter what the genre. We tried in the mid seventies to take the steel guitar to a wider audience with the things like Cavalcade Of Guitars, Jimmy Bryant and Buddy Emmons and a few other cd's we produced. It's tough because the steel guitar is associated with only coutry music. Well let me tell you something. Listen to Jim's cd, Pedal Steel Jazz, and all of us will have so much more appreciation for the instrument. I started playing a 6 string-no pedal old National a year ago and I am so in love with it that I want to have it on my lap all the time and yes, there are a few jazz licks on the ole six stringer. Thanks again Jim for releasing this album some time ago. It still get's plenty of plays in our house.
Thanks,
