Hi,

The Slide Bros on Conan. Left to right:
Chuck Campbell, Calvin Cooke and Aubrey Ghent. The bassist and drummer are Lonnie Bennett's sons Derrick and Levi.

Kudos to all!

Enjoy.

Bob

For anyone who doesn't know how to do this:

1. Go to YouTube

2. Type in something germane to the subject, here is what I did:

conan o'brien slide brothers

3. Hit "enter"

4. In this case, the video came right to the top of the screen. Click on the video, highlight the link in the address bar, copy & paste to one's reply here.

That was cool. Great audience reaction at the conclusion of the song.

Along with no Robert Randolph (who appears on only a few songs on the CD, by the way) I see Darrick Campbell wasn't with the group.

The steel guitars sounded kind of thin through my headphones - might be one of those "television feed" things - I've had some pros with a lot of TV experience under their belt tell me that what the audience hears in the TV studio and what you get at home can often be very different, but the initial reaction is often to "blame the sound guy."

Ooops! Forgot the link.

Thanks for inserting the link Mark.

Dig those long legs on Calvin's pedal steel.

Big Ben is playing a similar one here:
