One of his most stirring favorites of mine was "I'd Rather Have Jesus". At any age he could make a beautiful melody.

Recall seeing Dale Evans during an interview describing how she andTim Spencer discovered the song "How Great Tho Art" and took it to Shea. It was a very interesting program.

I loved him from the time I was a child. Wonderful spirit filled life. Praise God for the time we had. No one will ever bring me to tears like his great voice booming "How Great Thou Art".

My Grandfather took me to a Billy Graham Crusade when I was ten. Even at that age I was touched very deeply by
Mr. Shea's singing. His "Just as I Am" still chokes me up.

I'd like to echo Ben's sentiments. I still love to hear Mr. Shea's "Just As I Am" and "Sweet Hour Of Prayer". He was truly a one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

When Mr Shea sung, I believed him. I can't tell you how many church solists have tried to sing like him thru the years....most of them. RIP

He was how I grade all gospel soloist. To me his sincerity was beyond reproach. You knew he felt every word from his heart. He sang with Billy Grahm beggining to end. Truly a great Man at the cost of being repetitive.

So sad to hear this too! He was such a great Christian singer. "How Great Thou Art" always bought me to tears.

Comfort to his family and friends.
