Question about the aluminum ends and trim on a 2007 GFI Ultra.
Do you polish this stuff the same as the end plates on an Emmons?? It looks like it has a coating on it.
Thanks,
Jim |

I don't think so Jim, the idea of the coating is to elemanate the need for polish and also keeps those ugly finger and hand prints from showing on the metal. My GFI ULTRA has a black crinkle finish on the end plates that the previous owner had put on there. It really sets it off and blends well with the black mica finish. All I ever have to do is wipe it down with a dry clean rag. No elbow grease needed. |

From the GFI Website
"Frames and most metal body parts are epoxy-coated. This provides a hard protective coating that eliminates the need for polishing." |

Ollin,
I missed that on their website but I sent them an email and they did confirm that.
I might add, they do answer emails in a very timely manner. I have sent them three and they were answered within an hour of me sending them. |

I agree with Jim on the speed with which GFI clearly answers questions and provides help, sometimes to the point of replacing parts for free. At least, that has been my experience. I have never had to wait more than a couple days and have contacted them on four occasions with unrelated questions. Thx, steve t |
