I'll be living in an RV for the next few months while building a new house and I'm thinking of getting a Cube 30 for practicing guitar. I love my Cube 80's for steel and guitar, but the smaller the better in the RV. Steel is pretty much out of the question, there just won't be room. I'll mostly be using headphones and playing BIAB tracks from my Iphone.

Do any of you guys own these and what do you think of them? I would consider buying a good used one if the price is right.

I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

Darvin, I'd go for the Mobile Cube... it's not cheap, but it's stereo, and much smaller than a Cube30. I believe the 30 is discontinued... it looks like the Aux input is 1/4", so your iPhone would need an adapter cable instead of the normal 1/8"-1/8" stereo cable. You'd need the power supply for the Mobile Cube if you don't want to burn batteries... this puts it up near $200 for the package, so you might consider the Cube 40XL. I've got one, it's really loud, and it has the 1/8" stereo Aux input, not to mention several other neat features... it's in the $250 price range.

Thanks Stephen, I haven't had time to do much research, I didn't know the 30 had been discontinued. I'll look into what you suggested.

Darvin, I've got one that I use at home for practice. I really like it. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it sounds.

I have a Cube 30X that I sometimes use for small club gigs. It does have a 1/8" aux input (just above the power squeezer in the pic). Great light small amp that I have run psg, teles, ukes, and banjo through.
