I'm sure this has been covered, but I can't find anything using a search.
I've been playing mostly jazz ballads on C6 and so I can be "lazy" with my footwork - but what I'm wondering is p7-8, do you play that with left foot or right? It seems rt ft for 8 in case you combine with 5 or 6. Do you only use the right for these splits? _________________ '65 Sho-Bud D-10 Permanent • '54 Fender Dual-8 • Clinesmith T-8 • '38 Ric Bakelite • '92 Emmons D-10 Legrande II |

I play all the C6 floor pedals with my left foot. Even for the Big Band standard tunes, I like to inject sustain, guts and swells with the foot volume using the right foot while playing along. There are times where I use pedals 5+7 or 5,6,7 together and that requires moving the right foot off the volume pedal and back on it again in a hurry.
Here's an example of using pedals 5,6,7 all at once that favors keeping both feet over all three pedals for the duration of the riff:

I use 5,6 & 7 together so frequently that I have a duplicate of ped 7 as a LKL. I know it's redundant. Some people say it's a waste of a good knee lever, but there is no change that I would rather have readily available. |
