Hey folks,

If you're anywhere within drivin' distance, you need to make a point to be in Opp for this show. Always a great time with plenty of good players, including Joe Wright, one of the best there is. Then when you add the legendary Leona Williams, Ron Williams, maybe the best country singer out there, and Brenda Allen, well, we're gonna have a very large time. Don't miss out on the fun.

See ya there,
Jim

Echoing what Jim said, anyone within driving distance should put the Lew Childre Memorial Show on your calendar, the first weekend in May (coming up very quickly!). Joe has put together a super lineup.

Hope to see you at the show.

John L.

I had a very enjoyable time at the Lew Childre Memorial Steel Guitar Concert on Saturday May 4th. It was pretty much a full house for the entire show. It is no wonder, with the entertaining lineup of players and singers who performed.

I'd like to say a big 'thanks' to Joe Moulton, as well as to the Chamber of Commerce, the Cultural Arts Council, and all involved in making this show possible, and for allowing me to be a small part of the festivities.

If you've never attended the Opp, Alabama show, you might want to mark it on your calendar for 2014. It will be on the first Saturday in May, as always.

Please let me echo the sentiments expressed by John about this show-- it was top notch! Good crowd, great group of steelers, a really good staff band, nice facility, a good sound system and someone to operate it, sponsors who were evidently willing to dig deep, nice hotel availability, local support from community leaders and special efforts by Joe Moulton to put it all together-- I'm giving it an "A" rating and am already planning to be there for the next show.
A special thank you to my buddy Lynn Owsley for letting me share the stage with you. So good to hear Leona and Ron Williams again, as well as Brenda Allen. Do yourself a favor and be there for the next show!! Smile Smile
