Great stuff! Debashish plays things that I would've thought to be physically impossible on any type of slide instrument.

Bought last week and listening to it now. Quite nice and different from his classical recordings. DB has impressive musicality in addition to being able to humble every steel player alive with his technique.

Fantastic! Thanks for the tip, Andy.

Whether you come at this from the slide instrument aspects, or the fusion aspects of Eastern/Western (reminds me of Mahavishnu Orchestra) or "World" music, it's great.

Love the mix and performances. The tablas are in your face in several locations and trade rhythm breaks with the kit drums.

And his daughter is good...real good. I read that she was in the midst of finals at school during the recording and pulled everything off very well.

There are sections of slide playing (not sure exactly what the instrument is called actually) that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. And of course Jerry's work although limited makes it fun, too.
