For Illinois Steelers - Where can I go to have my Goodrich volume pedal installed with a new pot? I am willing to buy a kit on-line and let somebody who has done this before replace the pot, or buy the pot from the repair shop that does the job. Write private message if you prefer.

Richard...Quality replacement pots can be purchased from Forum members Jerry Roller and Tom Bradshaw among others. There are detailed instructions for replacing the old unit on Greg Cutshaw's site (also a Forum member). The process is fairly simple as long as you possess rudimentary soldering skills and make special note of how the string is wound on the pulley prior to removing the old pot. If the string is not rewound correctly, the pedal may not function properly.

Thanks David - I know its supposed to be a simple fix, but still... all apprentices perform better with a master at their side; thought I would try and see if there was anyone who has a shop and I could pay them for the pot and the work both; If I end up doing it myself I'll let you know how many times it took to wind the little string corrrectly !
