Hey Guys I have a Fender Mustang 111 and no matter what I do I can not come close to the sound bites I'm hearing on the Forum. Would a different speaker help? I'm stumped

My 2c.

Its a "guitar" amp and not a steel amp. Many guitar amps make poor steel amps. Get a "steel" amp.

But many steel players are digging that amp (although not as much as Roland's Cubes).
While normal steel amps (or Fender tube amps) will sound better, the largest problem is in your newness.
Most beginners pick tentatively, as if theyre afraid bad notes will bite their noses. I did it too.
Finding the right settings will help, but spend a quarter to a third of your practice time without an amp, and picking with enough oomph to hear what you're playing.
You might click on the edit button on your post at the top of this column, and edit your subject line to something like "Settings suggestions for Mustang III."
Or find a player near you to try your rig.
