Jake Hooker will be having a dance and CD release party this Thursday, June 29th at Pearl's Saloon and Dancehall, located at 302 West Exchange in the historic Stockyards area of Fort Worth, Texas.

Jake will be releasing his new album, "Faded Lights" which is steel-and-fiddle traditional Country at its best.

My good friend, the great Dicky Overbey played on Jake's new CD. If I understand correctly, another good friend, Rick Price will be filling in for Dicky at the CD release. Rick played on the tune "I'm Barely Hangin' on to Me" on Jake's album and a sample can be heard at www.startexrecords.com

There are also several samples on the website of other tunes featuring Dicky.

I hope all of you in the Forth Worth area will be able to attend -- they're going to do it up big!

Best,

Jim

And, wasn't this CD recorded at your studio, Jim? It's gotta be good.

Jim, I just ordered the CD.

I will be playing in the house band at Billy Bob's all week. I'm gonna walk down to Pearl's at a break and hollar at you boys.

I feel this could be Jim's best project yet. If you are even somewhat interested in what traditional county should sound like you owe it to yourself to grab a copy of Jake's CD. Congratulations Jim, Jake, Dickey, Bobby, and everyone else involved in this project. You have all outdone yourselves.
