Well since I just joined the "Sans Pedal Club", any tuning tips? I have been using the Jeff Newman tuning with a KORG OT-120 tuner. I have been playing around a little waiting on new strings for my Super Slide. Reece gave me the proper gauges but was wondering what other are doing, straight 440 or what. I am sure Reece is using harmonics. _________________ Die with Memories. Not Dreams.

If I remember correctly from my lesson with Reece, he tunes everything up to 442 except the E's which are at 440. |

I had no luck at all sweetening the temper of the 12 string tuning that Maurice uses on non-pedal steel. There are so many different chords and scales in each position that sweeting one would hurt the other greatly. Greatly sweetened tunings got even worse when playing along with a rhythm track.

From what I have seen so far straight 440 might be the number. Especially as you venture away from "straight" country. _________________ Die with Memories. Not Dreams.
