Mike, you are an awesome player and enjoyed fiddling on your set as well as with Leona and Ron. So glad you were in Mt. Vernon for the show. And, to Michael T. and Roger...it was fun meeting and playing with you all as well. Hope to see you all next year! Very Happy

I too had a great time at the SIP Steel Guitar Show! My first year to attend, and I'm flattered to be asked back for next year's show. The attendance was great and the crowd enthusiastic and generous with the applause.

There were lots of back-up musicians, and I don't want to slight any of them with omitting their names; however, I would like to extend my appreciation to the crew that helped me make it through my two sets. They were awesome! Kudos to Rick Boyer on bass, Terry Smith on guitar, Peggy Bode on keyboard, Dennis Straughmatt on fiddle, and the incomparable Dina Johnson on drums.

It was a great show indeed. My wife said it was her favorite of all the shows she has been to. It was great to see some"new" talent as well as the standard great players. Rose Sinclair playing non-pedal on those 40's and 50's jazz standards was incredible. She played with great energy and style. I look forward to seeing her at many shows in the future.

Thanks for the kind words, David. And thanks to Cord Fitch, Dow Smith, Dave Flanagan, Dennis Stroughmatt and the whole Southern Illinois Steel Show committee for putting on a first-class steel guitar show! Great venue, terrific back-up band, and good humor all around. Loved this show!
