Great meeting, great crowd, and great picking. This was our first meeting in our new facility and it was a fun meeting. Featured players : Jim Saunders-D10 Mullen, Dave Hubenak-D10 Sho-Bud, Bud Vanderburg-D10 Mullen, and Billy Phelps-D10 Carter. Everyone played great. Billy displayed his ability to entertain as well as his great ability to play steel guitar. He got the crowd up close and did a great show. The band- Patty on bass and Elaine on drums, plus some of Billy's excallent backup tracks. The teaching segment featured the entro to "Night Life" on E9th and John Hugheys entro on Conway Twitty's "I Just Destroyed The World I'm Living in". The JAM Players. Bud Vanderburg-D10 Mullen, Dave Hubenak-D10 Sho-Bud, Billy Phelps-D10 Carter, and Jody Sanders-D10 Pedalmaster. A real fun Jam, as Billy played drums also on one tune. On a sad note, our dear friend Bill Helms is still critically ill and is still in the hospital and his only hope is for GOD'S healing power. Keep the prayer coming for Bill. Thanks to everyone who attended and to Billy and Patty for all they do to keep our club going. Once again, thanks to Bud, all the way from Florida for taking time out from his vacation to come to the meeting and pickin' for us. See you next time, Jody, Billy, and Patty. Jody:
I have Bill Helms at the top of my prayer list. He was the first to invite me to the jam.
Thanks again to you and all your wonderful club members. This is a classic example of what it is all about. The sharing of talent was just great. Both you and Billy Phelps did a great job of conveying your ability to teach with the instruction portion of the afternoon. That was very unique and every club should have it is their program. You can bet it will be part of our meeting from now on. Thanks again .

Hey John, it was good to meet you on Sunday. I had to leave before the teaching started. Still had a great time. |
