I'm in the UK with a US spec Nashville 1000 (using separate transformer to run on UK 240v)
Have read lots of postings on the topic of modding the tone circuit with addition of OPA 2134PA chips.
My question is......is it solely a matter of swapping out the chips to effect the mod....or do other components have to be changed out, as per the following link to Peavey, showing instructions on modding a Nashville 400...??
http://www.peavey.com/media/pdf/steelguitar/nsh400mo.pdf
Please help to 'un-confuse' me here.... |

Just the chips on the preamp board. Nothing else.
It makes a positive difference. Go for it. |

The preamp board in the NV1000 is the same as the preamp board in the NV112... This may be helpful................. |
Great stuff!!
I've had the thing apart to replace some broken pots...but good to know it's the same pre-amp as the 112!!
....Can I see a Nashville 1000 circuit diagram in there too??
Many thanks |

Opened up the Nashville 1000
......it has 5 JRC 4560D chips....and not the one's I expected to see!
Can't find any reference to the 4560D on this forum
.....trust me to have something different
....Off now to pick up some of these OPA2134PA's |

That sounds like OEM chips. The OPA2134PA chips will make the 1000 sound like a NV112 (at least did to mine). Got rid of the digital power amp honk. |

The 4560 chips are supposed to be a little better than the 4558 originally used by Peavey. But the OPA2134 chips are TONS better than either one.
By the way, I won't buy the Chinese 2134s...like you can find on Ebay...they're way cheaper than the Burr-Brown originals and that makes me think they may have cut some corners to make them. _________________ Best regards,

Yep, those are good. I think Texas Instruments was the original maker of the Burr-Brown chips...if memory serves me well...and that if a BIG if!! _________________ Best regards,
