,,,I was bidding on a fender lap steel that closed about midnight last night,,,and was out bid. This morning I had 5 emails from different people "claiming" to be the seller and stating that the high bidder had been disqualified,,,and if I still wanted the item to contact them asap to let them know,,!!!,,,5 different people,,,the scam business is getting crowded,,!!! |

Tell them all that you will pay for the guitar with a money order you have for $5,000 and you want them to send you the guitar and the difference.

Mike,
I thought I was the only one to come up with that idea...LOL. The same thing happened to me the other day: The guy was from the UK, and sent a "second chance offer" (beware of this, also), however, when ebay sends you a "second chance offer", they also have it sent to your "My Messages" in your profile. ....It wasn't there, so I reported it to ebay and they promptly told me it was fraudulant. The BEST thing you can do is to immediately report these people to ebay.
