Is there some tone settings available that are comparable to Paul Franklin's settings using two Nashville 400's w/ Alesis Processor for the Line 6 POD XT? This is what I have used for quite sometime now butt he band I am playing with now requires no amps on stage and it has been quite a shock for me! First time I tried not using an amp I used my Mac Pro, besides the tone being terrible the sound was coming from in front of me. Nearly 45 years coming from behind now that has changed. Anyway I went out and bought this Line 6 Pod XT and did okay programming the guitar sounds but feel I need to ask for help with the steel. Doesn't sound that bad through the Tube Pre-amp kind of like an old Show Bud amp, With everything flat and effects pre-amplifier, I have still bypassed the 4 band EQ . Can someone help me set this up! Sure would be thankful! Ronnie Confused

I have a preamp tone that you can download from my web site. You can try that or modify that to see if will help. It also includes Digital Delay and Spring Reverb (if I remember correctly).

I used a POD XT (or X3) live but for effects only. I do have a preamp progam that I use to record direct that works good.

Tommy Dodd has (or did have) some nice POD XT preamp tones. I think he sells a CD with the tones.
