Here are two pics of Tom Morrell's guitar, "Wolfie". It was played by Johnny Cox in the Non-Pedal Room on Saturday.

The levers in the first pic are designed to change the tuning. I probably should have taken a pic of the undercarriage, but didn't. Mainly because Tom never used the levers to change the tuning, and neither does Johnny.

It was a great set! And in Johnny's hands it sounded just as sweet as Tom playing, IMHO. What an honor to have Johnny play for us, and he got a standing ovation!

Tom's tuning is listed elsewhere on the forum, but thought I'd put it here as well (high to low):

G# F# E C# B G# F# E D E

Johnny Cox was a last minute addition......we had a couple of cancellations prior to the show but Johnny closed the show in the clutch, top shelf all the way.....and on Tom Morrell's guitar, that was the icing on the cake.....

I'll have videos as soon as I can.....

Johnny Cox played a great set and brought the ghost of Tom Morrell with him. This year's non-pedal sessions pulled in some other mighty pedal steelers to come upstairs and play non-pedal with us, including Herb Steiner and Doug Jernigan.
Cool
