I just got a T-8 Stringmaster and, being new to owning these particular beasts in actually playable shape, I have a couple of newbie questions:

1. I seem to recall that the tone knobs for these are on the inside (toward the player) and the volume knob on the outside. This guitar has the volume knob on the inside. Is that stock or has it been re-wired?

2. I can see a bit of daylight between the necks. Is that normal and, if not, is there anything I can or should be doing about it?

No doubt I'll have still other questions to come but I appreciate any help you can give me on these in the meantime.

In answer to your question #2, If you take the diamond plates off the front and back, you'll discover two bolts that hold the three necks together. Just tighten up the bolts until the necks are tight.

No, just choose the right sized screwdriver. I believe the screws are phillips head.
