Hi everybody!
It's my first post here. I'm finally ready to get a pedal steel and make a go of it, but that means this baby needs a new home, too. I'm hoping someone is interested in a trade.
I'm going to copy and paste all the information from my For Sale ad at the Gear Page below. It contains all the relevant information.

Trade value is around $1100 and I can add a few bucks if necessary.
I paid $800 for the guitar and a little over $300 for the pickups. I need an S10, E9, with sturdy intonation in great shape. I'm a beginner on the pedal steel, but I am a professional guitarist and I'm only interested in instruments that will be road and studio worthy when the time comes. Any Stage Ones out there that need a new home??

As you may or may not know, these are a spectacular deal, and they're hard to find. Comfy 50s neck profile, "aged" gold top finish. Natural finish back and sides. **NOTE THE FOLLOWING**
I removed the blank truss-rod cover and put a proper "Studio" one on it.
I replaced the volume and tone knobs with the ones you see here. (I just prefer these to the top-hats).
I replaced the P90s with absolutely amazing Lollar mini-humbuckers. They sound huge, with sparkle, clarity, and warmth. The bridge pickup does everything you'd want it to do with clarity and just the right bark, and the neck and middle-position are bluesy and articulate.
There is a small, long-ways dent in the lower right side, above the jack. It's not through the finish; oddly, it's really just a dent in the wood. It was there when I got it. See picture. Noone would ever see it, you'd never notice it was there.
There are two small chips in the paint on the top. I accidentally dropped one of the pickups when I was installing them. See picture. This is reflected in the trade value.

The guitar has always played wonderfully in-tune. I have it set up medium-low. The neck is very straight and true, the fretwork is great. The intonation at the nut is very impressive, and it's effortless to get the saddles intonated. It's really an incredible guitar for the money! Everyone who picks it up agrees. |
