In case anyone here is interested... I filmed a few video clips of AJ Ghent this past weekend; Col. Bruce Hampton & Friends played an Allman Brothers Band concert aftershow gig at Lucille's, the smaller room @ BB Kings blues club in NY Times Square.

Please excuse my shaky camera-work and the not-great audio; I was in front, the crowd was grooving, it was a tiny stage, video was shot with my phone, etc etc.

I was hoping AJ was gonna be an on-stage guest with the Allmans on Saturday night, but it didn't happen. He was not playing the Gold Tone had in Cali during the summer; he is playing a burgundyish Tele with Loni's redneck style 8 string neck, with a couple Lollar Chicago steel 8's. Like when I saw him this summer, he is still a beast; hugely inspirational AND at the same time a little discouraging to this 40 something year old lap steel beginner Winking It was nice to see him up there holding his own with Warren Haynes and Nels Cline.

I have these 2 pictures, they are very low light, but I'll post 'em anyway. Yes, that is Duane Allman's "Goldie" Les Paul Smile
