I missed the debut, but apparently TNN, The Nashville Network, is back on the air. The rights to TNN were purchased by Jim Owens Entertainment and they are broadcasting in select locations. I found it on air in Nashville, quite by accident. I reprogrammed my auto tuner on the TV and there it was on the WSMV TV side band channel 4.2. A check on Comcast puts it at channel 230 in Nashville, but the schedule array still lists it as Telemundo, though the programs listings are for TNN. Programs are a combination of videos, both old and new, Crook and Chase reruns, Country Showdown finals and other old shows. Not sure how much new content is on currently. To see if they are in your area, check here http://www.watchtnn.com/index.php/affiliates. If someone in your area has picked up TNN for an over air side band, once it is on locally for 90 days, the cable franchise is required to pick it up as a local channel. That is how The Country Network has gotten a cable presence.
Maybe real Country ain't dead yet. |
