There are no words to describe his singing. He is probably my all time favorite blues singer. That voice, when coupled w/ the Joe Scott band, was truly something special. It's definitely time to break out my "Duke" reecords BBB anthology |

As usual, I'm afraid to peek over here in Gone Home most of the time. Certainly one of my favorite singers, regardless of style. In a class of his own. RIP, Bobby Blue Bland. |

The local jazz station WBGO, Newark, NJ played a tribute to him on Bob Porters show.
I really need to get some of his stuff I only have an old cassette of his that I played the heck out of.
there are so many great artists out there that don't get played enough.
