I keep getting shocked when playing thru this amp, it has a replacement 3 prong plug on it, I took it apart to see why it wasn't grounding correctly. There's no ground wire........
Anyone know if this is how they came from the factory and is it difficult/expensive to have the power cable completely replaced? |

I have a Single 15 with a stock 2 prong plug.....guess your 3 prong is not original. _________________ Cremation is my last shot at having a hot body...... |

Well, I guess that explains it, any ideas how hard it would be to convert it or keep it from shocking me? |

You either do it yourself, and assume liability... or have a pro do it, and have *them* assume liability. Telling you how to do it, and having you screw it up and kill yourself, leaves *us* open to liability. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

Sorry, I should have also mentioned that it costs a minimum bench charge for a 3-wire conversion... expect to pay at least $40. _________________ New FB Page: Lap Steel Licks And Stuff: https://www.facebook.com/groups/195394851800329 |

I agree with Stephen. It's an easy thing, but the fact that you asked how indicates that you should just pay someone to do it for you. Do it wrong and you could fry the amp or install a breaker-popping short.
