in case anyone has questions about how an ETS sounds on stage with minimal effects, i witnessed one out of the box saturday nite at the hands of billy carr at the brandon opry in jackson, mississippi.
not only did it shine from the candy apple corvette red metal flake color of the body, but, it chimmed clear as a bell from the touch and technique of it's commander in chief, billy carr.
never saw him tweak the tuning from the intro to the finale. he just rared-back & picked. with a grin!

Thanks buddy. The ETS was a pleasing surprise. That's the first time, I played it out anywhere. Lightweight, 42lbs. in the case, loaded with everything from the Mooney Fender sounds to Tom Brumbly's ZB days, right on into the LDG tone and straight ahead to tones of anybody a player could want to copy. It's all there in the ETS. Beautiful guitar and a pleasure to play. No problems, no moving on stage, no detuning, nothing. Solid as a rock, all night. Wanna change the tone, it's easy, just move to the left of the 10-1 where the strings are picked and take your choice. Want a old Fender sound, play closer to the 10-1. Easy and troublefree completely. The ETS will take a player anywhere they wanna go! Byrd/Helms/Wiggins right onto Green/Emmons/anybody. |

I went,I saw,and I heard.I liked what I saw and heard. The ETS is a beautiful guitar and really sounded great. But,like it is stated so many times on the forum, the player has the most to do with it.
Billy, you really made that ETS honk,as all other guitars I've heard you play. The paint on that jewel looked like it was a foot deep.
I like green.

Thanks buddy, it is a fine guitar. The green you mentioned, I've been talking to Larry Agan, one of the builders/owners of the ETS about a candy apple dark green color in the near future. I'm thinking about gold striping and logo on the candy apple green covered by nine coats of lacquer, I think it is. We'll be back at the Brandon Opry a week from this Saturday with the ETS. Some Friday, come by the office and bring the Rains and I'll service it for you while you pick on the ETS. See ya, buddy! |

For information, Pee Wee Whitewing dropped by my home last week and left one brand new, just out of the case, a very nice ETS, ten string, 3 pedals, 5 knee levers and it is for sale. Plays just like Billy Carr says they do. Contact me if anyone is interested in immediate delivery. |
