I have a hard plastic Shakuhachi that looks like the real thing and sounds actually pretty nice. I've had it for years and time for it find a new home. Pictures on request by serious buyers. These sell for $165. I'll let this one go for $60.

Hey Bill,

Just saw your post here and had to comment--I purchased and studied Shak a few years ago using a plastic--actually PVC--Shaku called a "Yuu"

It was recommended to me by my sensei, and plays so much better than actual bamboo in many cases!

Anyway, your price is literally a steal for this if it's a Yuu!

Best of luck,
Josh

My mom has a bamboo shakuhachi flute. They are quite an instrument...it definitely helps to know circular breathing and such. In fact, I guess they are part of some martial arts discipline regarding breathing.
