Seeing John Billings' mention of Jason Lollar in a recent posting below reminded that I wanted to thank Jason publicly for the fine job, great service et al when he made the pick-up for me for my early 1946 Gibson Ultratone, picture below. The pick up was made a little over a year ago, and while I thanked Jason personally in an email, I wanted to let forum members know what a great pleasure it is to deal with Jason. I had originally asked the question "Where do I go for a replacement pick up for the Ultratone" on the Forum and was directed by several members to Jason. The guitar sounds magnificant. It has the same 3 control circuit as on my Gibson Console Grande. Thank you Jaston, thank you Jason.

Jason built me a Chicago Steel 6 with a Charlie Christian top plate, to replace the stock pickup on my Chandler RH2 (which sounds great). I also got a Chicago Steel 8 from him for a Melbert I had built for someone as a gift.
I do agree, Lollar provides great customer service and an unbeatable product. |

Lollar re-built the pickups on my '53 Fender Dual 8 Pro and the sound is simply stunning. Not cheap, but worth every penny and now good for another 50 years _________________ Primitive Utility Steel |

Hi Twayn. I certainly wouldn't want a "cheap" job on good guitars. They're worth more than that. And, the work of coil winding is very intricate. I'm glad to hear you have excellent satisfaction also.

Yes Tom. In fact, now as I think back it was you who recommended Jason to me. I thank you personally. The guitar is just magnificent.
