Aloha folks, I was wondering if there is any interest in an 8 string , 6 tuning , 3 half step up/ down tuning changer if price was right?

Absolutely! The size is also important as not all lap steels have enough space behind the bridge.
I seem to remember that your early designs were very compact.
Do you have sketches or pictures and a ballpark price?
Just a thought:
Maybe you could also introduce budget models which are limited to 2 or 3 tunings only, for instance A6 to B11 which only involves 2 strings. |

Aloha all,
The thickness is of course a factor in the design, but in my limited research, mass affects tone, and sustain. The current design has built in minimum design factors, regarding cam diameter, adjusting screw length and internal cam followers, etc. The original design was 1 3/4" thick, with the body of the guitar approx 2". The layout of the design was accidently erased by my bride (30) years, so it will be a few days before I can send out some drawings, Patience please.

Aloha friends,
Well I guess the answer to my question is "not very many, so I guess I'm out", but if a few of you great player/ builders would like try one of these forward looking, changers, I would try to supply you with prints and any info that I can. Note, When I play Estralita in Jerrys Diatonic tuning, I know this changer could bring so much joy, I really want to do something, but Parkinsons disease has taken my hands, and,.......oh crap, I'm sorry to bother you all,
