thought i'd share this tasty morsel with you all...

Dicky playing steel as one of Johnny Bush's Bandoleros, back in 1970...this was part of the warm up set, before Bush came on...here's the band info:

Dicky Overbey - pedal steel
Frenchie Burke - fiddle, lead vocal
Ernie Reed - fiddle, harmony vocal
Bill Bowers - electric bass guitar
Mike Watson - drums

Dicky's solo is just INSANE in my opinion...and the band!...listen to that drive and energy!...MAN...how i wish i could've been there!... Wink

I was lucky enough to hear that band many times here in Lubbock and Post Texas. Dicky was always really nice and always played great, we were both a lot younger then... The golden years of country music! Wow, great clip.. I can almost smell the stale beer at the old Cotten Club...
