Well, we had our JAM today in Branson and we had a very "large" time! I want to give a report how things went, however, I believe Bill Myrick will give a more complete pictorial account. He's really good at that! There were 6 steel players that gave their best and I tried to give my best! The steel players were, David White, Marty Neer, Bob Carden, Leonard Robertson, and Lain Wendler, and me, Jerry Hanley! It was very special how the good cooks presented a very tasty menu! And the band was up to the task of making it possible for the steel players to strut their stuff. Of course, we're really happy with our pro guitarist, Dino Strunk. You name it and he can play it. Buddy was up on his talent, singing and playing the bass and Russ kept the right beat going and also sang! Russ and Buddy have so much equipment to set up and tear down. We're so thankful for their untiring efforts!! We were treated with our new friend, Lain Wendler, playing and singing. It was also a treat to have Sharon Robertson and Eva Myrick singing solos. All of the participation makes it such an interesting program. We were thrilled to welcome some new friends and hope they will come back often. The fellowship was extra special, too, and as Buddy said, "We're just like one big family"! I agree!! A wonderful afternoon!! _________________ Jerry and Venda |

It shouldn't go without saying, Charlie and Rosemary Steichen are the main ramrods of our steel guitar club. Like Terry has said several times, we just couldn't do it without Charlie and Rosemary. The main entree of chicken and noodles were prepared by Rosemary and Charlie, plus, I know they can't hear it right now, but give them a gigantic applause, wherever you're at!! Thanks to all of you that were there! I know some of you came a considerable distance! _________________ Jerry and Venda |
