Another amp I don't need. This is an LA400 amp with a 12" Black Widow speaker. The amp is in good condition and works fine. It comes with the original foot switch which is also in good condition. The chrome corners shine nicely, but the chassis straps had a little rust on them and all of it wouldn't buff off. The amp probably had an upper back panel at one time, but it is long gone. It has the same basic power amp as the other 400 series amps, and was made for guitar, but I played steel through one for several years at the church where I played. The "pre" pot on the overdrive channel is a little scratchy, but would probably clear up with use. The reverb is very smooth but seems to get some internal feedback when set up to around 4 and beyond. As seen in the pictures, I plugged an open 1/4" plug into the foot switch jack to keep it in the clean channel, without having to leave the foot switch plugged in. The amp is a little shorter and a little lighter than the Nashville 400.
The price was $275.00, then $250.00, now $225.00 and I will accept Paypal. I would rather not ship it due to the weight and size, but I can if I have to.

Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro.

Darn I wish i had the money in hand. I need to make a trip to Austin soon. I know you don't need another amp in trade. You seem to have everything a man could want or need in amps. _________________ Daniel J. Cormier

Matthew, I don't remember the settings I used, but on a new amp, I always start with the EQ settings "flat", or at the middle of their range, then play for a while and tweak from there. It has always worked for me, it seldom takes more than a few minutes to get an acceptable sound. I do remember having to boost the bass pretty drastically on this amp.
Good luck. _________________ Darvin Willhoite

i had the chance to play around with the one i bought this week, these are way cool.
I am suprised that some one has not pulled the trigger on this one, these may just be a well kept secrete for PSG they seeem to be half the cost of an NV400 and really do sound great. if anyone is using one and has some settings they are using let me know. I am gonna put the Fox mods in over the weekend (these mods are great and at 3o bucks you just can not go wrong)

This one sold a couple of weeks ago, I guess I never got around to posting a "sold" notice. Too many other things going on. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
